THE LONG-AWAITED 2015 China Rendez-Vous (Nov 27-30) came to an end after high public anticipation. Held at Visun Times Coast in Hainan Island, the sixth edition of the event attracted large crowds and a number of high-end sponsors.
This year’s theme, ‘Dream.Art.Life’ set the stage for the event, which included high-end brands in the yachting, aviation, automobile, and fashion industries from across the globe.
An opening ceremony kicked-off the event including Sanya government officials and contestants of the 65th Miss World Pageant.
The charity campaign for marine protection, BLUE Project, was launched during the ceremony, along with the BLUE Project Blue scholarship and the Sanya Bay Public Sea Area Fishing Boating Assistance Campaign. The new campaign will provide fisherman with emergency assistance and protect fisherman’s rights.
Day one of the event ended with the gala dinner. The exhibitors, sponsors, media and invited guests enjoyed a wonderful night, which included a number of musical performances.
The Italian Pavilion made its first appearance at China Rendez-Vous bringing along Italy’s world-class fashion, leather goods, furniture, craftsmanship, fine food and wine.
The Italian Pavilion featured previous Italian national team player and previous coach of Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club - Marcella Lippi. His appearance at the event confirmed the friendly relationship between Sanya, China and Tuscany, Italy.
Exciting activities continued on the third day with the China Rendez-Vous x WGC China’s Celebrity Golf Tournament, followed by the Awards Dinner.
Over 100 prominent brands participated in the event including yachts brands Azimut|Benetti Group, Beneteau Group, Ferretti Group, Arcadia, Bavaria, OCEAN Independence, OMNIA Marine, Speedo, Sundiro and Sunseeker Asia.
Co-organiser Beneteau Asia and its respective distributors, Visun Royal Yacht Club and Simpson Marine showcased several of their best models including the MCY 70, Oceanis 60, Oceanis 55, Barracuda 9 and Antares 42. The show was a great turnout, with a number of concrete sales onsite.
