Arriving at the end of September in Hong Kong is a Numarine 105XL, which will become one of the largest luxury charter yachts in the city.
Both are available through Riviera Orientale, part of Asia Marine Yacht Services (AMYS). The 2016-built customised 105XL accommodates 45 guests and has impressive exterior areas, providing plenty of gracious and refined alfresco space for guests’ entertainment. The immense interior lounge and dining space, lavish galley and cabin accommodation are all bathed in natural light. The yacht is also fully equipped for overnight and long-distance experiences.
Affiliated with AMYS is Asia Marine in Phuket, which is the exclusive charter company for the 30m (98ft) sailboat Capricorn, which can house 11 guests in five cabins with en suite. It is a wooden ketch design, equipped with a spacious aft deck saloon and a fully air-conditioned saloon with mahogany woodwork. This Phuket-based yacht features a 5.5m RIB, Suzuki tenders, two sea canoes, water-skis and snorkelling gear.
The classic 118ft sailboat Gitana joins the charter fleet of Greek company Atalanta Golden Yachts. She was built in 1989 by Perini Navi and refitted in 2007 and 2015, with interior design by Guido de Groot and Ralph Lauren. Nine guests are accommodated in three double cabins and can enjoy the aft lounge area or watch a movie in the saloon that converts into a cinema. The water toys and tenders include a Castoldi 460 jet tender with 125hp inboard diesel engine and an inflatable 3m tender with outboard engine.

With nine cabins for 19 guests, the yacht has a Jacuzzi pool on the sun deck, heli-pad for touch and go helicopters carrying six people and a fully equipped gym. The aft beach house has a spa, steam room, massage room, bar and large settees. On the lower deck, a large garage can hold the limo tender, two RIBs, a ski boat, and an array of water toys.
One of the most sought-after yachts at Boat Lagoon Yachting in Phuket is the Princess P64 Destiny. She is fully equipped for charter and features a wide array of toys. Her Williams jet tender can bring passengers right up to the beach due to its low draft. Kids can have fun in the inflatable donut. Two kayaks are available to ride in the waves at Phang Nga bay. Destiny offers amenities including a submersible swimming platform and gyro stabilisers, which guarantee the most comfortable ride.
Boat Lagoon Yachting and Northrop & Johnson both offer Bilgin 96 (named Mia Kai in Northrop & Johnson) by Turkish yacht builder for charter that has a surprising array of features including a fantastic flybridge with a Jacuzzi, BBQ, dining area and sun pads. She underwent a complete refit last year of the whole interior, entertainment system, on-board marine systems and so on, offering a new experience for the charter season. This summer, the featured charter yacht at Titan Fleet Management is the 90m Lauren L, which was built in 2002 by Cassens Werft GmbH in Germany and can reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots. The classic-styled yacht can provide more than a summer boat party in the Mediterranean sea, catering for 40 guests with 20 state rooms, 45 crew members with a great variety of entertainment ranging from a Jacuzzi pool on the sundeck, well-equipped gymnasium, two 7.2m catamaran RIB tenders with beach landing capabilities and several high-powered Yamaha and Sea-Doo jet-skis.
Northrop & Johnson Asia’s charter fleet also includes the amazing Ocean Emerald, which turns heads with its ultra-modern design by Norman Foster from Foster + Partners. If it looks familiar to some, it starred in the 2015 remake of cult movie Point Break. Built in 2009 by Rodriguez Yachts, Ocean Emerald can sleep 12 guests in five cabins with extra 30 per cent exterior and interior space. This expedition yacht has a 10,000nm range and ice-strengthened hull, with a top speed of 15 knots. The main deck interior has a full-length saloon giving fantastic visibility all around, with three clearly defined areas. She also features a beautiful, wide Portuguese-style teak deck refitted last year that’s proving to be a chic choice for family cruising.
