THE FIFTH CHINA (MACAU) INTERNATIONAL Yacht Import and Export Fair (Nov 5-8) successfully attracted thousands of visitors at Fisherman’s Wharf.

A number of Macau government representatives helped to open the show, which included speeches, champagne toasts, and powerboat performances.

Nearly 50 yacht brands participated in the event that boasted almost 30,000-square-metres of exhibition space. The main event featured a number of medium and small yachts, including the Azimut 55S, Pershing 46HT, as well as larger luxury yachts including the Custom Line Navetta 28 and Monte Carlo’s MCY 70.

The on-land exhibition attracted crowds and excitement with the Ayrton Senna Car Championship involving Bentley, as well as pavilions from PADI Dive Centre.

Visitors were also able to enjoy a fashion show on the first night of the event, mingle with the Green Prix Team – Macao Local Racing Team, and watch as Macau held its first teenager OP Regatta. Guests were also impressed by the underwater photography and video exhibition, giving a close-up experience of the sea.

This year, for the first time, the event held a high-level conference forum to discuss the development of the Macau yacht industry, featuring the theme of “Silk Road Economic Zone & Maritime Silk Road”. A number of yacht industry professionals, financial leaders, and media representatives participated in the forum.

The sixth annual event will be held November 4-6, 2016 at Fisherman’s Wharf.
