THE 10TH EDITION OF the Shenzhen International Boat Show (SIBEX) will be held at Sevenstar Yacht Club in China, gathering speedboats priced from a few hundred thousand to motoryachts worth millions.
Founded in 2007, SIBEX promotes the boating lifestyle and each year has attracted international brands from countries including France, the US, Holland and Italy.
Having joined the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO) in 2016, the boat show strives to integrate exhibition, publicity, transaction and communication as well as to display world-wide yachts and sailboats, accessories, service system, etc.
The show has become an incubator of yacht brand promotion, market development, transformation and upgrading, as well as the vane and portal of China boating industry. It is also an important platform for the international boating industry to enter the Chinese market.
SIBEX 2015 had six floating docks, a land area of 20,000sqm and an increase of 15% in scale. It gathered more than 200 well-known brands from more than 20 countries, 146 boats on water and more than 100 exhibitors as well as 32,516 visitors.
The show had an intention turnover of 1.01 billion yuan, taking the lead in the industry for the successive five years. Bavaria, Omnia, Crystal Wave, Sun Bird, Jia Hang, Jetpon, Chang He, Sunway and so on gained orders on the spot with turnover reportedly reaching nearly 200 million yuan.
SIBEX 2016 keeps expanding its scale and has gathered well-known yacht brands from at home and abroad. The show also aims to act as a networking platform for a targeted high-end audience, celebrities and business professionals. It will provide a wide range of activities for visitors, including sea trials, motoryacht performances and much more.
