Take your pick from these new foundations, all of which offer different finishes.
FOR A MATTE FINISH
Youngblood Natural Loose Mineral Foundation in Soft Beige, $68.
Great for those with sensitive skin, this mineral foundation hides redness without irritating the skin.
FOR A SEMIMATTE FINISH
Shiseido Maquillage Dramatic Film Liquid UV SPF25+/PA++, $70.
Despite the watery formula (give it a good shake before use), a pea-sized amount is enough for a flawless finish. The foundation kept my T-zone matte throughout the day, without any creasing or dry patches.
FOR A RADIANT FINISH
Moonshot Microfit Cushion SPF50+/PA+++, $36.
Moonshot’s Microfit Cushion (endorsed by South Korean singer G-dragon!) has moisturising ingredients such as arginine and bamboo sap to keep the skin hydrated. The cushion feels firmer than others we’ve tried, which is great because less product oozes out when we use the sponge applicator.
FOR A DEWY FINISH
Laneige BB Cushion_Whitening SPF50+/ PA+++ in #21 Natural Beige, $59.
This revamped best-selling BB cushion is better than ever. The sponge now features a 3-D diamond grid and is said to pick up just the right amount of product needed for messfree application. The formula is also given a boost with the brand’s new Super Flex Lasting technology, so the base adheres to the skin for a smoother finish – translation: no more product creasing in your laugh lines. My skin looked radiant and only needed a midday touch-up on a supersunny day.
FOR A NATURAL-LOOKING FINISH
Bourjois City Radiance in #02 Vanilla, $29.50.
The perfect option for those who want to protect the skin from city pollution, this reportedly forms a film over the skin to reduce the possibility of carbon particles settling on it. A light layer was enough to brighten and even out my skin tone. What’s great is how weightless it feels.
