The Canadian woodlands proved irresistible for Giambattista Valli, who journeyed deep into the red and amber-hued depths of the forests for a collection that gave the outdoors a feminine and urban touch. As variant as the fallen foliage that lined the runway was the designer’s vision of Parisian winter aesthetics: Outerwear cropped in every length was patterned in twill, checks, or detailed with fur or guipure lace. Warmed up head-to-toe in layers of tweeds and knits to furry leg warmers, models also took a stroll around Valli’s autumn wonderland with backpacks in tow.
