Perhaps not everyone appreciates just how exhausting shopping can be: hot, aching feet, shoulders sore from lugging around shopping bags, indecision from all the different goodies you’ve seen. All of this is why ION Orchard’s beauty brands are upping their pampering game – whether in terms of products or services – to ensure that your day at the mall is a treat.

JO MALONE LONDON

At the newest branch of Jo Malone London, you can sit with a Stylist at the Tasting Bar and receive expert guidance on the brand’s fragrances. She’ll also treat you to a pampering complimentary Hand & Arm Massage, including warm towel cleanse and a spritz of cologne, and you can learn about Fragrance Combining – layering your Jo Malone London scents to create something that’s uniquely you. New options include the limited-edition The Bloomsbury Set, a collection that has hyacinth, tobacco and whisky notes, and Star Magnolia, a limited-edition fresh spring scent with magnolia, orange blossom and a hint of lemon that will only be available from May.

PENHALIGON’S

Fragrance profiling is also part of the experience at Penhaligon’s. And now, it wants you to bring a little of that home with the latest of its perfumes, Savoy Steam Eau de Parfum. A tribute to the brand’s classic Hammam Bouquet, which is been around since 1872, this is designed to evoke the sensation of warm, enveloping, floral/herbal steam – like a spa. It has fresh rose, green geranium, rosemary and pink pepper, and dries down to a smooth, comforting incense.

SEPHORA

Sephora’s relocation in 2016 means a bigger Beauty Studio for makeovers and touch-ups, with better lighting and more space. There are lots of lovely things to buy this season, including new additions to Kat Von D’s Lock-It range (which offers setting mist and brushes), and Sephora Collection’s Mix and Play range of travel-friendly skincare (pictured) that comes in a variety of yummy flavours. Plus, the store’s army of beauty advisers are always on hand to give tips, recommendations and compliments on your already fabulous look.
