Layer it

Planes are tricky – they’re either too cold or too warm so your best bet is to layer and then remove accordingly. Choosing a soft-to-touch base layer followed by a longer coat will mean you’re prepared whatever the weather, and it’s not likely to crease when rolled up and stuffed under your seat. Look to this gal on the left for shoe inspo – an ankle boot gives you extra height and is a great way to hide your plane socks!

Comfortable and classy

There are plenty of wide-legged and loose-fitting trousers out there, so find a pair that suits your style. Tucking your top into the waistband will define your silhouette and rolling your sleeves up slightly will stop the look from giving off an oversized and frumpy vibe. Luckily for us, trainers are still the must-have shoe, so all you need to do is add a statement earring to elevate your look.

Dress for the upgrade

I was once told that if you dress like you’re sitting in First Class, you may actually get upgraded – so why not try it? A tailored blazer can instantly transform an outfit while also hiding your pyjama top underneath. Whether you opt for slim-fitting trousers or a pair of elevated trackpants (a personal fave of mine!) is up to you, but keep to a matching colour combo to give the illusion of a two-piece suit.

Easy Rider

Dip a toe in luxe leathers and designer denim, or go all out with fringing and ankle boots; either way, it’s time to take centre stage on this year’s rodeo runway. Yee-haa!
