UPPING THE ANTE of Boracay Island’s spa scene is the Upperhouse Spa, a fusion of modern minimalist design and seamless spa experience for a luxurious island pampering.

Opened in December 2015, the Upperhouse Spa creates a balance for wellness with traditional treatments for discerning travellers. Its signature massage is patterned after Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, which uses the forearm to create long flowy, wave-like strokes with varying intensity that is deeply relaxing. It is capped off with Thai stretching to rejuvenate and improve circulation.

Other treatments offered at the Upperhouse Spa include the Philippines’ very own Hilot, which uses heated banana leaves and therapeutic virgin coconut oil mixed with organic lemongrass to restore well-being.

The Upperhouse Spa is nestled inside the equally modern The District Boracay – a boutique beachfront resort located in the central Station 2, which provides easy access to all points of interest on the island. Aside from the spa, the resort boasts 48 well-appointed rooms and suites, a lap pool with Jacuzzi, a conference facility that can accommodate up to 80 people, a gym, bar and events roof deck overlooking the famous Boracay sunset, serviced beach loungers and its own brand of unrivalled service. The resort also operates Star Lounge, a bar and restaurant famous for serving the best brunch buffet in Boracay.
